The Journey

More than a trip, it's a nature class for your kids. Become an elephant keeper in Xishuangbanna's tropical rainforest — not just watching from afar, but feeding, bathing, and learning their language. Hike Jino Mountain's pristine rainforest, make Dai pottery with intangible heritage masters, and capture golden family moments at Asia's largest Starlight Night Market.

DAY1

Jinghong Arrival — Peacock Banquet Welcome

Arrive at Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport. Private transfer to your rainforest resort hotel nestled in lush tropical greenery. Welcome dinner: the legendary Peacock Banquet — the Dai people's highest honor for guests, featuring over 20 dishes arranged in the shape of a peacock's tail.

DAY2

Elephant Keeper for a Day

Morning at Wild Elephant Valley: not a spectator show, but real interaction. Feed elephants bananas, help bathe them in the river, clean their enclosures, and learn their body language from professional keepers. Afternoon: rainforest elephant herding — a light hike through the jungle tracking wild elephant trails with your guide.

DAY3

Botanical Wonderland & Firefly Night

Explore the CAS Tropical Botanical Garden — China's largest. Daytime: rare tropical plants, banyan tree groves, and the incredible giant water lily (Victoria amazonica) weight-bearing experience — children can actually stand on the lily pad! Nightfall: a guided firefly safari through the gardens, an unforgettable experience for all ages.

DAY4

Rainforest Survival & Dai Pottery

Morning: Jino Mountain rainforest hike — a Bear Grylls-style adventure for kids. Hunt for rare wild plants, challenge tree climbing, and enjoy a "Rainforest Feast" cooked with local jungle ingredients. Afternoon: visit a Dai village and learn slow-wheel pottery from an intangible heritage master. Knead the clay, shape your own Dai vessel, and take home a piece of Yunnan's earth.

DAY5

Royal Gardens & Starlight Farewell

Morning: Manting Park — the former Dai Royal Garden, serene and beautiful. Visit the General Buddhist Temple nearby. The grand finale: dress in exquisite Dai ethnic costumes for a professional family photoshoot at the Starlight Night Market — Asia's largest, with thousands of golden lights reflecting on the Mekong. Afternoon airport transfer.
